• A huge thank you to Val Zabel who again washed and ironed all the acolyte robes for us before Confirmation. She does this without even being asked. You’re an angel, Val!
• Congratulations to our Confirmation students as they affirm their faith. They are: Thea Durand, Brinley Ender, Kylee Metcalf, Brooks Meurer, Jax Oxendine, Lucy Traun and Anna Wobbe.
• 21 people have turned in their pledges and Time and Talent Sheets. Thank you!
• A “Trunk of Treat” night is scheduled for this Wednesday, October 29th from 6-7:30pm. Come dressed up in your costumes and do some trick or treating! If you’d like to decorate your car trunk and hand out candy, let the office know. This is always so fun (if the weather cooperates!) We have candy bought so don’t buy anymore!
• Please sign the name of your loved one in the Book of Remembrance whom you would like to be mentioned next week on All Saint’s Day. It is on the Welcome Center Table.
• Lefse making will be the first week of November. Peeling and boiling of potatoes will be on Tuesday, November 4th after the WELCA meeting around 11am. Then the rolling of the lefse will be the next day at 10am after Bible Study. Sign up in the Welcome Center.
• The worship committee has decided to dust off the Chicago Folk Service and try using it the first three Sundays in January. Do you remember it? We’d like to get a small choir to lead the congregational singing together. We’ll collect the names of those interested in a “cantor group” and pick a day for practice. Maybe just right after church some Sunday. Please sign up in the Welcome Center. Thank you!
